about me

Mr KTC
Hey there, and welcome to my blog!

You can call me Mr. KTC—not my real name, of course, but “kicking the cubicle” has been such a big part of my journey that it just kinda stuck.

A quick intro: I’m a finance guy in my mid-30s, a Chartered Accountant by profession. I spent over a decade working in the corporate world, steadily climbing that good old ladder.

Then came 2020. I jumped into the startup world, helped lead successful fundraises, and headed the finance team through all the usual startup madness—fast growth, steep learning curves, and yeah... some serious burnout.

So I hit reset. I cashed in my ESOPs, took a breather, and kicked off my second innings as a consultant—working with startups and founders on everything from finance to fundraising and governance. (You can read more about that story [here]).

This blog is where I’ll be sharing my thoughts, lessons, wins, mess-ups, and everything in between as I work towards my next big goal—Financial Independence and Retiring Early (FIRE).

Excited to have you along for the ride.

Let’s do this!
